Public Square is a non-profit media company working for a better future, through journalism and collaboration. The multimedia projects produced by Public Square help people understand the issues and ideas vital to our democracy.
The original logo contained an almost perfectly square icon, consisting of a green central square contained within a blue frame. In the updated logo, the proportions were corrected to be 1:1. In terms of positioning, the word “media” didn’t feel necessary and was removed from the logo as well as written and verbal messaging. The logo typography was simplified to a single style (compared to three previously), and better balanced in relationship to the scale of the icon.
