From Here to Here

Published by Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, on the occasion of the exhibition all smiles at Leo Koenig Inc. From Here to Here is a 160pp mid-career survey of American artist Greg Bogin.

The book design was heavily influenced by the graphic strategies employed by Bogin in the works contained within: dynamic symmetry, balance, proportion, repetition, scale, alignment, etc. Typographically—the use of all lowercase throughout the book was a natural conclusion considering that is the way Bogin titles his work.

Bogin’s whimsy and humor is reflected in the cover design, featuring nothing but the white brick studio wall that makes a regular appearance throughout the book serving as a photo background.
