City Health

The annual magazine City Health, created and published by the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy, highlights the cutting-edge research underway at the school, and features stories on the community-focused health equity and social justice work of its faculty and students.

Due to the nature of institutional publishing and a limited budget, extra creativity and resourcefulness is required to maintain the high visual standard established by this publication. For example, a deep scrape of public domain images is searched for each issue to maximize relevant imagery without resorting to using stock. Original editorial illustrations are also created, both from scratch and based on provided and other found assets.
